True, an omnipotent God would not have needed to. He could forgive everyone without exception. Having unlimited power means you never have to employ a means to get to an end.

Well really that is the greatest mark of grace one could think of.

Do you have any children? If so, or if you had one, would you ever knowingly let them die at someone else's hand? I wouldn't. I would fight and die in the place of my children instead of seeing them die. But what if the death of your son would save many people somehow. To save humanity, would you personally let your son be killed? I really don't think any of us could do that, we are simply too much in love with our family. The idea that God the Father gave up Jesus Christ for our sake does not mean he was cruel, but that he was able to help others in a way none of us would be willing to do.

Many of us would die for a cause.... but so few would let a family member die for a cause. Giving up Jesus Christ for our sake is such a mark of love towards us that really astounds me.

For the passage in question (Matt 6:15) , it would help to look on the logical contra-effective of the conditional assertion ... [the contra-useful, in assessment to the controversy and the inverse, is logically such as the unique conditional assertion.[ a million) the unique concern: in case you do no longer forgive others, THEN your Father won't forgive you. The contra-useful: if your Father will forgive you, then you definately will forgive others. 2) [the above] fits Jesus' parable of the unforgiving servant... A servant who ought to no longer probable ever repay his great debt asks forgiveness from his draw close, the draw close forgives. Then, the servant refuses to forgive a tiny debt from easily one in each and every of his friends. The grasp on listening to of the injustice, restores the value of the servants debt and the servant is forced to pay it off. observe: the draw close forgave FIRST. The reaction, if the servant actual understood how lots he grow to be forgiven, could have been compassion on others who owed him [incredibly small quantities]. 3) on the bypass Jesus stated "it quite is finished [lit. Paid in fill]." The debt has been payed in finished. there could be no longer something we'd like [or can] do to get God's forgiveness, since the debt has already been paid. God's forgiveness, the PAID-IN-FULLNESS of our debt is already a reality, even though it quite is won by skill of religion. Our confession, our repentance, our forgiving others are all act acts of religion and have faith that flow from the actuality that our redemption has already been finished. [i.E. Forgiveness first, then reaction] Going back to the contra-useful... Will God forgive us?? sure, He already has. THEN we are able to be waiting to forgive. If we don't forgive, that's a sign that we don't incredibly think of/have faith that God has forgiven us. [AND for that reason we shrink back and don't get carry of the promised forgiveness.] If we later study the intensity of the forgiveness and shop directly to that forgiveness, our reaction will possibly be that we would be waiting to forgive others -- as reliable as confess our sins, and repent and return to God, and love our neighbor, etc....

Here's the verse:

Hebrews 9:22 (New International Version)
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

There you have it. God requires blood sacrifice.

I believe that God sent Jesus to give us one last chance to be redeemed from our sins. God can't handle sin. It is the only thing he hates and our sins make us unacceptable to God...not by his choice...but by who he is.

He did it for you because he loves you and wants you to have the choice to be with him...
Also he is just and somebody had to die for our sins. If you die in your sins you lose everything..
