I have never seen my cat blink, wondering what the biological reasoning for that is, or what their alternative is?

well if you look closely at your cats eyes, you will notice that they are a lot more shiny than ours, that's because they are about 3 times as wet. Its like when you get something in your eye and it gets all watery. The wetness is constantly cleaning out dirt and stuff from their eye, so they don't really have any reason to blink.

They do blink, but in a very cat-like, dignified way. Humans blink haphazardly every few seconds. That is simply "beneath" a cat. They stare for a bit, then do a deliberate closing of their eyes, kind of like they're saying, "Hmm, let me think about that for just a moment," then they reopen their eyes and glance in another direction.

Nothing haphazard about it.

They only want you to THINK they never blink. It adds to their mystique.

I have had many cats growing up and they all blink. Maybe you just don't see your cat blink. Try blowing in it's face and see what happens...

They do blink just don't have eyelids. If they didn't blink their eyes would never shut. Think about it.
