I would say that anyone that tease, hate, discriminate and attack people that are gay are Not following Christ. I am a Christian and I may not agree with certain things people do, but I would never jump on people for what they do or what they believe.
God bless
I work in a field where I have people from ALL walks of life, I just do not care about all that. I care about the individual...
oh yea Being a Christian is my choice...

Yes, being a Christian is a choice. However, if someone is teasing, hating, discriminating or violently attacking gay people, they are not Christians in reality. Christ would have never done that.
Being gay may be something that a person is born with...I don't know. I do know that my Christian faith says that living the gay lifestyle and participating in sexual activity with people of the same sex is wrong. It is the action that is wrong...not the temptation to do so or the person themselves. All people face sexual temptations and all people face other temptations that would be sinful if carried out. It is the action, not the being tempted that matters.
Asking a gay person to give up having a sexual relationship with a person of the same sex is no different than God asking Christians to give up having sex before marriage...having sex outside of marriage..looking at porn...stealing a car...killing someone without justification etc. Sin is sin. One is not worse than another. We all have a choice to make....be obedient to God's commands even when it goes against our own desires...or allowing ourselves to do our own thing. No different.

Christians do not hate or attack Gay people, We love them enough to tell the truth. Christianity is a choice also, but being a Christian is not a sin. Being a Homosexual is a sin. I am not angry or hateful about this fact. I realize that they are lost and without God, just as I once was also.

You know choosing one's faith is a personal choice. That's why I look at kids like in the Jesus Camp movie and think it's more indoctrination with them than acutally choosing. They want to be with the ' in ' crowd at their church and do what their parents and grandparents and the rest of their families do, so really they role play their faith.
Then we have the muslims who indoctrinate hate and violence of all non muslims in their children's programming and in their sports and extolling the virtue of being martyred for Allah so they don't really have a choice either.
Frankly I think kids should learn about all religions from about grade 3-9 and then when it's time for a ' confirmation' of faith they've got all the info they need.
Just before my confirmation into the Lutheran faith, I had alot of questions that the minister didn't want to answer or couldn't answer and I saw some of the hypocrisy in what he said and what he actually did. My mother said I had to be confirmed as she'd made a promise to God when I was baptized, after confirmation if I wanted to become something else , I could do it in my own time.
I've come to embrace the basic tenets of my lutheran faith, but I've explored alot of different faiths in the last 30 years and I've found most of them without the dogma teach pretty much the same things.
So as a kid going to sunday school and confirmation classes, I had no choice in my religion, but as an adult I have.
I think some of the forced religious experience is why there are so many angry atheists now. They stopped exploring because they weren't mad at God really, they were mad at the church and the church dogma they were raised in. So now they think it's all jive and bs. That's throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Everybody has the choice of whether to do good or bad. And everyone makes mistakes from time to time... Just because you call yourself a christian doesn't mean that you are the perfect example of a christian.

I have many gay friends, who I love with the heart of God. The Bible talks about that type of behavior being wrong in the eyes of God. Yet, who is to say that my cigarette smoking is not just as bad, in the sight of the Lord?
I feel compelled to smoke cigarettes, but my place is not to judge. God does command us to Love One Another.
That's sometimes difficult for me. The Bible tells us to pray for one another... even our enemies. Imagine, receiving good blessings from praying for your enemies. It works.
We all have choices. The Bible confirms we were given Free Will.
At the same time, I also believe God when it comes to his fallen angel, lucifer, now called satan and many other things. He is the author of confusion. I have seen him in action. Prayer is my best defense. Peace comes after that. Yes, so I want to believe.
As for me, I choose Christianity, and Jesus as my Lord and Savior, because without Him, I would have no reason to live.
Good Question.

its not ok to attack anyone cos of their choice. what would the world be, if everyone attack everyone just because they choose to believe in something or be something.
Gay people have a choice to be gay, your not just born gay, you choose to be gay. and people choose to either be religious or not. but just because some choose to be one of these things, doesnt give anyone the right to just attack them.
do you know how unfair, and childish it is to do that? its wrong. no one should discriminate anyone like that. its in humane. and people should know better.

Whenever christians do that, I ask them to describe how they chose to be heterosexual; how old were they, and whether before it they were attracted to both sexes or none.
I never heard an actual reply yet.
Of course, even if homosexuality was a choice - it's not their choice to make.

you do have a choice- God allows that , but there are consequences to choices. You can ridicule us if you choose. I choose to not let it bother me, because I serve God not man.
