You lose a pound for every 3500 calories burned. However, if you are doing it with exercise only and no decrease in calorie intake remember that muscle weighs more than fat so likely you will tone up but not lose much weight.

If by burn you mean that you take in around 12,000 cal and you expend 12,900 to 13,000 per week the net result is weight loss.
3500 cal per pound of fat in the body.
5 lbs = 17,500 calories
Figure on this taking around 18 weeks to lose the weight.

well you know if you only do thirty minutes on the tredmill 5 times a week at an incline of 4 and eat 1200 calories a day u will lose five pounds in a week!!
