As others have said you can do the copying or simply double click on the plus sign (+) of the first row. Then it will get copied to other cells provided there is no space left in between

But if you have some values you have taken from somewhere else & you want to apply them to all of the rows, then make sure you make them absolute values before proceeding. Otherwise you'll get an error like "#N/A"

You can do this by using F4 key or the dollar mark $

great... but how do you have a single SIMPLE formula apply to the entire column. Example: Product of contents in column A and a constant (like 10)? so the formula is =Product(A,10) BUT THIS YIELDS AN ERROR! PLEASE HELP

Insert the formula in the first box and then put the cursor in the lower right corner of that box until it turns to a + sign. Click and drag the cursor to highlight the boxes in the column that you want the formula to be copied in.

Put the formula in the first cell and then put your cursor over the bottom right of that cell until you see the plus sign (+). Left click and hold it while you drag it down the length of the column. That should do it.

Select a range of cells (the entire column in this case), type in your formula, and hold down Ctrl while you press Enter. This places the formula in all selected cells.

if you mean that the formula is in the entire column, just copy the formula and paste it. if you mean that you want to use a whole column in a formula like to add every number entered into column a you would do A:A in the formula. =sum(A:A)
