When people say love is blind it means that it can cloud your vision of things.. say a women is in a abusive relationship she won't necessarily leave because she loves him and she believes that he doesn't mean it.or someone cheated and you give them a second chance because you love them and think they wont do it again but then they do and you still stick around because they promise again they wont do it... does that help?

I interpret the saying "Love is blind" to mean that you don't know and you can't help who you going to fall for.

I suppose an example is if you are planning on asking somebody out and believe that you could have a really great relationship with them. Then spontaneously someone else comes into your life by surprise, they catch your eye and they take your breath away. That's the love part. You wouldn't have known that they would have entered your life since you can't see into the future. That's where the blind part of the saying comes in.

When they say that love is blind, it usually means that when you love someone you don't notice their looks, or things about them that may bother other people. An example would be your best friends girlfriend who chews gum like she is a cow....annoying to the entire class, but he doesn't notice, because he is in love with her and anything she does is just wonderful! The blindness usually fades around the time the honeymoon ends.

Love is blind in the fact that it doesn't matter where your from or what you've done if someone loves you and you love them "love is blind." An easy example is Romeo and Juliet. The star-crossed lovers from warring families. But they didn't care about the family fued, they were willing to give up everything to be together.

I got an example. say u fall in love with a woman who wears a size 6...after about 3 years she gradually goes up four more sizes. If u really loved her you would be blinded by the love and wouldn't really notice her gaining the weight and it wouldn't matter to u.

You cannot see past the person and are blind to their faults - not a bad thing though - I think you know you're in love precisely because of this!

I agree with other people, but it can also mean that it makes you blind in terms of what people look like. Not everyone falls in love with people who are conventionally attractive, love is blind in terms of it doesn't matter what people look like, it's how you are inside that matters

They mean that, when you are in love, you don't see faults in the other person, or, if you do, you will find every reason to make excuses for them.

It is the reason why courts in many countries do not allow spouses to testify against each other, or why parents are more inclined to forgive their own children than other people are, even (or especially) for really serious crimes like murder.

Listen to the song by Percy Sledge: "When a man loves a woman." Someone can be pulling the wool over your eyes, and you can't see it, because you love them. Many people have been hurt because they truly loved someone who didn't love them, but they couldn't see the forest for the trees till it was too late.
