University of Arizona has a really good program that was responsible for the hubble. Also, Tucson has almost no street lights due to the university's observatory.

university of hawaii is a great college for astronomy because it is far from major cities and has a large mountain with a great observatory. if you want to do actual research hawaii is the place to be.
