NO, there aren't any. We sail with navigational maps, GPS, radar, satellite, and look out watches....people. Each ship has a code name basically when it sails. On the bridge there is a screen that is watched and you can see yourself and other ships that have the same thing. It is like an internal beacon. Just like on old submarine movies where you see the dot on the screen thing, that is what I am talking about. This is a pretty preschool level explanation, but that is how things work so you can understand. There is also a minimum distance a non-US Navy ship can get to a Navy ship before they are considered a threat and action is taken. Does this help you out any?

They don't have "head lights".... They have red and green running lights located on the port and starboard side of the vessel.
They have strong spot lights located around the ship that can be turned on if necessary but are not used as a normal part of moving.

Running lights are on ships. You do not need headlights when you have radar, GPS and all the other "bells and whistles". On Navy ships, forward and aft running lights are white. Masthead lights are red ( like lights on a tall building) Port Navigation light is RED. Starboard Nav light is GREEN.

if your talking about military ships. they have some spot lights like people earlier said. but there not used for driving. when it comes to night driving for a ship. that is done completly off of instruments. like gps, compass, radars and such. imagine steering something as big as a aircraft carrier around the ocean in the middle of the night and in complete darkness.....
and yes there are marker lights on military ships. but are not commonly used when out to sea. mainly cause they dont want to be seen when they are out there.

no such animal. Boats have bow marker lights and stern marker lights (also called running lights). You will find many spotlights attached at different places on a boat or ship-but no headlights
