Hi
I have a 2000 neon that I want to replace the sound system on.
Does anyone know how or where I can get FREE info on how to do this?

Thanks
Alfredo

Stuart has Dodge mixed up with Ford. No Dodge or Chrysler radio uses keys for removal like he's describing.

To remove the radio from a 2000 Neon, the trick is the hidden screws behind the top vents. Rotate each vent until it snaps out. Then remove the screws underneath.

Next pull off all of the climate control knobs.

After this the dash panel can just be pulled off, revealing the four screws that hold the radio in place.

There are four holes in the stereo, one at each corner.

Using two horseshoe-shaped 'keys', the stereo just slides out. You can get the removal keys at a Dodge dealer, at a stereo store, or you can make your own out of coat hanger wire.
