I am thinking about getting a used Explorer Sport Trac and I would like to know what owners think about them. I had an Explorer years ago and it was good so I hope the Sport trac is the same.

If you had an older Explorer, (prior to 2002) the cab portion is exactly the same on the SportTrac (until 2007)
It's a fun truck & kinda like a cross between a Ranger & Explorer.

If you live anywhere (like the Midwest) where E85 fuel is available , many SportTracs are also Flex-Fuel Vehicles.
If the 8th character of the VIN is a "K" then you have E85 capability as well.
I like SportTracs. They are very versitle

I'm not an owner but I almost purchasd one a couple of years ago now. The only reason I didn't is because I found Ford hard to work with, they wouldn't budge on a few things.

I like them because there is room for hauling, granted not large cargo but I didn't need that. The backseat room was a big seller too. I still wish I had one.

Consumer reports doesn't give them the best rating but they still pull in at fair.
