BFH (big freaken' hammer)

What is it you want to fix?

That depends on what part of the car you want to fix. There are wrenches for nearly every part that loosens and tightens and screwdrivers are needed for screws. Cars are really best left to mecahnics to fix. They have the tools and, usually, the expertise to do it.

Depends on what brand it is...
Ford--a hope and a prayer.
GM--A pint of whiskey and a few bandaids
Chrysler--A Howitzer. Don't worry, the car will still be worth more in a few years than what it originally sold for.
European--a deep pocketbook
Japanese/Korean--bailing wire and duct tape.
