The late night crew (USA) completely flopped on this question, let's see how the mid-morning group does. I've even made it simpler.

Why is it people on R&S can't step away from formula answers and actually read the words of a question and think on their meaning. ....or use a dictionary instead of something a shouter told them.

Great Big hint for small minds. It is not a negative question about Jesus it is positive.

Barry's almost there. Why don't the rest of you try to beat him to the full answer or don't you own dictionaries to go with your Holy Book.

Yes, I'm disappointed in all of you.

Good grief! Two more chime in and they go right back to the Rote rot. What a bunch of childish ninnies, and I've done everything but hand out an answer sheet.

Stop with the Bible and open a dictionary.

Thanks, Terry, for bringing it down to our level. He was a Jewish Hebrew Protestant. He protested against many things. He railed against the religious leaders of His time. He called the Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites. He talked about how they put their dependence on the law instead of God. He scolded them for adding things to the law that were too hard for the people to bear. He berated them for searching the Scriptures, regarding them as the source of eternal life, not recognizing the Scriptures spoke of Him as the source of eternal life. But they wouldn't accept that. He protested the way they did business in the temple. Any doubts about His leanings?

None.

Catholic, Protestant, Jew (Hebrew) have historical lines that came after Jesus was ascended into Heaven.

Pagan is a system that worships many gods that are connected to the world, river god, lake god, sun god, moon god, etc.
The Word of God says (John 1:1-5)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Jesus is the creative power that made everything pagans call God.

Hebrew is the "race" of people descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Israel (Jacob). Jew is the name tagged onto them because most of the people who survived the deportation into Babylon in the first diaspora were of the tribe of Judah, and thus "Jews."

Early Christians called themselves "followers of the Way," until Antioch:
Acts 11:26 ... ; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

That title was even used by King Agrippa in the presence of Festus and his own wife Bernice, in response to teh Apostile Paul:
Acts 26:28
Agrippa replied to Paul, "In a short time you will persuade me to become a Christian."

To which Paul replied: 29 And Paul said, "I would wish to God, that whether in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I am, except for these chains."

And the Apostile Peter used it too:
1 Peter 4:16
but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.

Since then Christians have accepted that moniker for themselves; Catholic, and Protestant umbrellas came long after the New Testament was a closed canon.

Christian: χριστιανους, means "little Christs," and what a great privilege to be associated with His wonderful name.

Yes Jesus was probably an Essene Jew like St. John the Baptist. Since he founded the Catholic Church along with the 12 disciples, he would definitely be Catholic. Don't you think? I doubt seriously that He would protest that which He created which He said the gates of hell would not prevail against and which is written is the "bulwark and ground of the truth". Therefore, He would not be Protestant. Hebrew is a race so He was a Hebrew. Definitely not a Pagan.

He was born a Jew in a God fearing family. He went to synogogue on sabbath, at age 12 was able to teach the teachers in Jerusalem about the law of Moses, Since Jews are decended from hebrews and he lived as a Jew his entire life then it only follows that he was hebrew.

Your question is nonsensical by that way as you list three religions and one race. Hebrew is a race not a religion. But Jesus was a Jew a practicing go to Sabbath and the Holy days obey the law, card carrying dues paying Jew.

As christians we are suppose to imitate him. But we don't do we. In fact we say that he said that everything he stood for and lived by was done away. Hypocrites! Repent! Show works worthy of Repentance and perhaps you will be saved from the day of judgement.

Jesus is God
God was manifest in the flesh as the Christ who was born into the line of Abraham and David to fulfill prophecy, in this Christ was a Jew. He taught the Word of God not the traditions of men

Jesus is God incarnate. He was not a member of an organized religion. In fact, Jesus was against such things.

None... Jesus said that with him there is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or freeman, we are ONE BODY in him. He is not limited to one group or type of people.

JESUS WAS BORN A JEW. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH WAS STARTED SOME 300-400 YEARS AFTER THE DEATH OF JESUS. PROTESTANTS ARE CHURCHS THAT BROKE AWAY FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND STARTED THEIR OWN DENOMATION (LUTHERN, METHODIST PRESBYTERIAN ECT). BAPTIST ARE CALLED PROTESTANT BUT WERE NEVER PART OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. BAPTIST ARE NOT PROTESTANT. THEY ARE BAPTIST. AS PART OF THE TRINITY JESUS IS GOD. HIS WORSHIP WAS TO HIS FATHER.
