They put it in the "religion" section of the Dewey decimal system. Fiction is a special category off the Dewey system altogether.

But I know that when you play Botticelli, you need to start by agreeing on whether to call characters in the Bible fiction or non-fiction, or you will run into arguments later.

Never played Botticelli? Great game. Like 20 questions for the well read.

It's in the Religous Text Section. The library(had you ever walked into on ein your life) has many other sections other than Fiction and Non-Fition.

At least non-fiction. The Old Testament is a historical document .The New Testament is what is debatable, but I believe it is non fiction.

i don't think libraries hold bibles. but if they did, they'd have to put it in a special section, with all of the other books on religion. that's my thoughts.
