Hebrews 12:2

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

When faced with trials and hardships, Jesus looked beyond the present and hoped in God. Because he was keenly focused on the prospect of vindicating God's sovereignty and sanctifying His name, Jesus never deviated from his course of obedience to God, no matter what it cost him. Notice that Jesus was 'scorning it's shame.' He was not troubled about what opponents thought of him. His focus was on doing God’s will. (Matthew 6:33; Romans 15:13) Following the course of faithfulness requires that we look intently at Jesus Christ, and we can do this by regularly reading the Gospel accounts and meditating on ways in which we can imitate him. Doing this, will help us appreciate that Jesus Christ was obedient to God and proved the quality of his faith by his endurance. Hope I've helped.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

This scripture is telling us That we are to focus on Jesus, and of how Jesus took our sins with Him to the cross, died for our sins, was resurrected, and now sits at the right hand of God on the throne.

That we should keep our focus and attention on Jesus, His Word, and His Teachings which develop our Faith. If we do, our faith will grow and mature. He looked forward with joy and endured the suffering on the cross because He knew that His work would bring Him many Sons and Daughters into His Kingdom, and now He is resting because His work is done, while His Spirit and All those who have received Him are now doing the will of the Father here on Earth.

Our faith began with Him.(author) He is the very origin of it. As far as perfecter, it speaks to me by saying "Christ has done it all, and will continue to do it all" and I, out of a THANKFUL heart try to follow His will. But, I know if I fail, I will still be perfected (sanctification) come judgement. "Who for the joy set before Him..." Christ realized enduring the cross was worth it, given the awesome outcome of God having His children returned to communion with Him.

Our faith is complete in Jesus Christ, who looked beyond the pain, shame, and the curse of the cross, to the Glory that awaited Him, at the right hand of the Father.

That's not from a different translation, that's in my words.

A human god, hmmmmm? did he eat, sleep, have a sex drive( i was going to say something crass there, but trying not to offend too much). A god that had 3 brothers and 2 sisters? a god that was of a human , mary's egg, would be more like hercules wouldn't he, like a half god? if he was a god why would he exclude so much of the world from heaven (innocent people who's only 'sin' was growing up in another part off the world and socialized to be hindu or whatever). Proudly claimed to be the descendent of david. Didn't he realize king david was a murderous king who had a thousand concubines ( sex slaves from war victories). if jewish men wrote a religious book, what type of god would they create- a jewish man god.................

Translated: Look at Jesus, a man who made us believe when we have no reason to, and had himself crucified while scorning himself for doing it, then sat next to himself.
