The "details" make it sound like you are just ranting, but I'll answer your "banner" question anyway.
Body and soul, eh? What ever happened to mind? Or will, for that matter?
You can arbitrarily label parts all over the place, but the point is we are far more than just body. And if you acknowledge the existence of a soul, do you distinguish that from spirit?

1) I don't know of any Christian (or at least Catholic for sure) teaching that says man is three parts? what source are you using? Unless it is just a matter of how you define it? Could you provide a source for your rant?
2) The concept of the trinity is very much in the Bible. Sure, the WORD was not used until later. I guess gravity didn't exit either? that word/definition didn't occur for much later. Or how about the world being flat? Here are some actual references. Many quote Bibilical passages. Many quote early church fathers stating the beliefs of the early church.
The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is God (cf. John 8:58, 10:38, 14:10; Col. 2:9). It also clearly teaches that the Holy Spirit is God (cf. Acts 5:3–4, 28:25–28; 1 Cor. 2:10–13). Everyone agrees the Father is God. Yet there is only one God (Mark 12:29, 1 Cor. 8:4–6, Jas. 2:19). How can we hold all four truths except by saying all three are somehow the one God?
Jesus tells his apostles to baptize "in the name [notice, singular, not plural] of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matt. 28:19). This is a proof-text: three distinct Persons united in the one divine name. In 2 Corinthians 13:14, Paul writes, "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." We see this same unity of divine Persons in 1 Corinthians 12:4–11, Ephesians 4:4–6, and 1 Peter 1:2–3.

"I am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God." (Isa. 45:5)
There is no God but one. (1Cor. 8:4)
And after being baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased." (Matt. 3:16-17)
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." (Matt. 28:19)

"He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9)
"He who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me." (John 12:45)
If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Rom. 8:9)
"Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit." (Matt. 1:20)
And the angel answered and said to her [Mary], "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy offspring shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)
[Jesus speaking to His disciples] "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you." ... "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him." (John 14:16-17, 23)

Soul according to the Hebrew is the 'seat of judgement and reason within man.' Body is flesh, and then there is heart. The heart, according to the Hebrew language, that is the seat of emotion and desire. That's why Jesus said what he said about loving God. Only he added a fourth besides spirit, there is strength. In other words; all my being am I to love God.
But I think that we are dealing in semantics. Anyone can say that there are many parts to humans, it depends on how many you want to end up with. I could say that the hair is a part, which has nothing to do with the chin, and the chin has nothing to do with the ankle, etc. So if we want to we can say that there are many parts to a man.

Man is three parts.
1Thessalonians 5:23 ¶ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray [to] God ,[that] your whole SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The SPIRIT is the life that is breathed into the BODY, and the SOUL is the seat of ones emotions.
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
The Spirit of God is different from our spirit.
Ro 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
This is how the concept of the trinity was derived.

Man is made up of 1.body, 2.soul, and 3.spirit.
As far as God, the word used in Genesis in the creation is a plural form meaning more than two. There is one God but...
Put it this way there are three forms of water. There is the liquid that you drink. There is the solid form which is ice. And there is the "gas" that evaporates. All three forms are H2O. They all have different functions and roles but it is all the same thing. Its the same with God. Each of the three persons have separate functions and roles but they are all God.

It is very hard to discern the difference between human spirit and soul.
However christians receive the Holy Spirit as believers, so we know that there are spirits which are non-physical but real. The Holy Spirit, being God's Spirit can be in many places at the same time. He dwells in His temple the Church (all true christian believers). You need to have faith in Christ before you qualify to receive the Holy Spirit, as otherwise your sins make a barrier between you and God.

The Trinity is not false. It consists of..
God the Father,
God the Son,
God the Holy Ghost.
All three were there together and created the earth, and all of it's contents together. Even man is made in "their" image.
Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in "our image, after our likeness:" and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God in the Father image is the Almighty God. God in the Son's image is God's word brought to us in the flesh,(Jesus)
God in the Holy Ghost image is the one who lives inside our hearts when we accept Jesus as our personal Savior. All three serve a specefic purpose, yet are all one in the same God.
John 8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
