It was one summer evening about dusk and we went into the petrol garage at the top of the road to get some sweets and the man behind the counter had no trousers on and although we didn't know it at the time he had a big you know what, he asked us if we wanted to touch but we scarpered. We never went near the place again and didn't tell our parents. Has anything similar happened to you. Paedo's know that kids won't tell, it must be happening all the time. I actually feel quite sick thinking about it.

I do feel for you and all the others it happened to, my experience happened when i was around 11yrs old. He was a window cleaner in our area, he would stop and talk to me and my friend, he would chat up my friend and I, we both ended up jealous of each other and wanted the attention (we were 11, unbelievable!), i saw him once on my own and french kissed him and let him feel my budding breasts. He was probably about 25-28 yrs old. For years i thought i must have been a slag, but now i realise (at 30yrs old) i was a vulnerable young girl looking for comfort and love. I thought i was the one in the wrong! madness!!!

Is it because of the fact she's scared? attempt doing a nightly ordinary together with her to help calm her down. Many sons and daughters are traumatic of "monsters" coming from below their mattress or from the closet. Humor her and consider those places. Make up somewhat music you sing on a similar time as doing so. After that get her settled into her mattress and consider her a narrative. i think of it is super you're wanting to help out. it is somewhat she's dealing with. in case you all nevertheless locate her sneaking into your parent's mattress then placed a drowsing bag of their room beside the mattress for whilst she has problems at night. tell her she will in elementary terms use this if she actually needs to.

It isn't too late to go to the police about this.
Maybe if you report it you can prevent something similar or worse happening to someone else. When you are 7or 8 men of around 25 or 30 can seem really old so tjhis guy might only be in his fifties. The police will be able to track this guy down even after all this time.

Yes something similar happened to me when I was about 9 years old, my mum's bf had a son and he locked me in a room and asked if I wanted to touch his thing, it'd be our little secret. At the time I didn't realise but as I got into my teens, I soon realised what had happened all those years ago. I never told my mum because I knew it would devastate her, especially being someone she knows. I don't see him anymore luckily as shortly after the incident my mum broke up with his dad (lucky escape for me). It makes me sick to the stomach to think these creeps are out there prying on young trusting children. They should be locked up for life and I don't mean 15 years I mean life.

When I was about 8 yrs old in about 1974, and my sister was 5, we were on the pavement outside our house and a guy pulled up in a car and asked for directions. I approached the car window then realised he was masturbating. I looked him in the eye and gave him the effing directions! At the time I didn't say anything to my parents either. I like to think that my cool response made him go soft.

I'm sure this sort of thing has always happened, it's just now kids would say something. Don't feel sick about it. The guy was a saddo.

I can't remember how old I was older than 6. We had a parade of shops 100 metres from our house I don't remember very clearly so not sure if I had gone alone but I was standing outside the shop and someone I didn't know came over and spoke to me I got scared and ran home. Nothing as major as yours, but I only ever told one person (not my parents) and that was only a few years ago. I don't know exactly what happened but it was enough to scare me.

yeah while living in exeter in the uk.
i was aboyt 5 years old and playing in the fields where we lived with other kids.

there was a big area which had been cleared to build more houses leading down a slope to the stream,we had dens, and tree swings etc

we kids were all down by the stream when this man in a suit came down the field the other side of the stream which was steeper.

he came down to us and stood in the storm drain below us, and we were looking down at him.

my mum was watching us from the house at the top of the sloping field, she could see us all gathered around looking down.

he was dressed in a suit he had very very black hair, seemed middle aged, but at 5 any one over 25 is old.

he told us he had lost his dog and would we help him find it,

two girls said yes,

i didnt go coz he was scary and held onto as many of the other kids as i could and stopped them,

i remember telling the two girls who were going with him i would tell their mum,

they still went,

my mum saw this guy begin to walk up the field towards exwick lane, and she ran down screaming where are you going with those chldren, he dropped their hands and just kept on walking he never looked back.

the police were hidden in trees etc for ages in case he came back and try again.

he didnt.
this was 37 years ago
so pedos were about then

i do remember that there was a girl molested nearby around that time.

The risk I wonder about of not doing anything is if this behaviour progresses into something much worse and more children/people are affected because the people are not well and nothing is done about it. It happened to me once, but it was on a train and the man was gone quickly.

I would be a rich person if I had a penny for everyone who kept this sort of thing from their parents.

It happens all the time however in you and your sister case it should still be reported even though it may have happened years ago.

I wish you well.

Yes it is true. Some boys pulled my clothes off and I was so embarrassed I did not tell. Now I understand that children don't understand that abuse is not their fault. They don't know that they should always tell. Make sure you tell your own kids exactly what to do in such a situation, maybe it will get better some day.
