i really admire muslims for their way of praying, i mean not the way they do it but the number of times they talk to whom they believe. because many claims 'hey im a christian', but when is the last time they prayed to God surrendering all and spend time for His words?
..but this makes me thoughtful..
for muslims, are you praying to who you believe because you really want to and you believe that there is really an allah that hears you, or do you consider it as just a routine? im not questioning you coz i want to argue, im just curious..
and for my fellow christians, what do you think of it?

I made a wonderful friend on-line who is Muslim. We didn't see I to eye for a while because I was evil and my god was wrong. He tried to convert me. I don't know if it is wrong for him to admit, but he respects me and does not criticize me because of my beliefs. He accepts me for who I am, and I half wonder if he wants to believe the way I do.
He is very serious about his religion and very accepting of what happens in his life no mater how bad. He always says at least he has his health and his family is healthy. He thanks god for his good life even though it is dangerous where he lives. He is grateful and sometimes has to remind me to be grateful and to pray to god and give him thanks for what I do have. It is amazing. I do not see to many people here who are that strong in their faith that they pray to give thanks and are grateful for what they have and do not ask why when things are bad. The only bad thing is their lack of tolerance for other beliefs, but most Christians are the same way.

If U were a member of a religion that mandated prayer in every way (time of day, physical body position, repetitive verses etc.) or U would have Ur head removed, how "faithful" would U be??? This is "Forced" Not "Free Will" Love of God!!! Scripture says to "Pray without ceasing" (I Thes.5:13).
Prayer should be a conversation with God that is always too short!!! As if U had 100 years to catch up on!!! John

No, it's not the same God. Muslims don't have a relationship with Allah like we do with God through Jesus Christ. Allah is unreachable, unknowable. However, I do agree that as Christians, we should be as fervent in our faith and prayer as they are. We should make God first in every aspect of our lives.

I am glad that I don't have to be so "Religious". I can pray to God anywhere at any time. I don't have to clasp my hands and kneel, I just talk to him, like I would talk to Jesus if he were standing right in front of me or right next to me.
Yes, the Muslims show a lot of dedication, but to who? They are by definition antichrist in that meaning derived by Johns epistle. So dedication to God while really having peace with him is through Christ, and I think that matters.

They are praying to their allah, I pray to the God of Creation, therefore if they are not praying to the one & only True God, their prayers are in vain.

Here's another thought for you too... We say we turn our lives over to the Lord to allow Him to lead the way. But how many of us take off in life, and jump in front of Jesus, by forgetting to ask Him for His guidance, advice, leadership, and then walk straight into a great big mess?
If we Christians really want Jesus to guide and lead us, stop bolting for the door, and then forget to ask Him for protection, guidance. We all need to take the advice and dirrection Jesus gives us, and do what He tells us to do. Because if we don't, we have only our selves to blame when we fail in life.

Maybe Christians should take a leaf out of their book in this respect. God loves all people the same...no favourites.

it's true, they are diligent, but it is more of that they have to, not that they want to, really. the words are the same, and are spoken in a monotone.
i wish i prayed more than i do, but often enough i do actually talk to God, really talk to him ( as opposed to meal prayers or rosary's, etc...)
this is just my take on it.

yes they have faith in god. not like others, they believe in their god and know that He will be there no matter what. they know that the solution to all the problems is by god. they thank Him for what they have. others just say that they r christians or stuff but do they actually have faith in their god?
