Preparing a receipe for pizza, after kneading the dough, it says to stretch a piece of kitchen film over the top of the bowl.

Any plastic wrap. This keeps the dough from getting airflow across it while rising. You can also use a damp towel but the plastic resists sticking if the dough rises too high. I spray non-stick oil on my wrap.

Saran wrap is what is is referring to. You can cover the bowl with a plate or if the bowl has a cover, use it. Anything to cover the top and keep it draft free and keeps the dough warm. I place the bowl in warm water making sure the water does not get in the bowl to keep it warm, also.

plastic wrap. Its just meant to help activate the yeast. It will help create a warmer environment inside the bowl. If you have a large enough bowl you can just cover it with a towel, You can also just leave the dough right on the floured counter and cover it with a large inverted bowl. Hope this helps.
