it probably be at least a few more days, make sure you gargle with warm salt water to keep the new opening clean. It also soothes the pain a bit.

IMHO, you should go back to your dentist and
have him check you over. That kind of pain
is not normal and could indicate many abnormal
things, not the least of which is infection.
