I was wondering this question, what causes us to sneeze? And can we do something to prevent sneezing other than holding it up, (I heard that was bad but who knows) because its embarrasing when everyone is quiet in the classroom then all of a sudden I sneeze. Thank you!

A sneeze is a semi-autonomous, convulsive expulsion of air from the nose and mouth. This air can reach speeds of 70 m/s (252 km/h or 157.7 mph). Sneezes spread disease by producing infectious droplets that are 0.5 to 5 µm in diameter. About 40,000 such droplets can be produced by a single sneeze.

So the aliens can sneak past. You can't keep your eyes open when you sneeze.
