I thawed them for dinner Wednesday but didn't get a chance to cook them. THey are in the fridge. Can I still cook them and will they be good?

As long as they were frozen immediately after purchase and thawed in the fridge they will be fine.

Meat usually goes a bit sticky when it is going bad and has an odour/bitter meaty smell.

What time is dinner!!!

Keeping meat marinading in an acid for a long time is worse than a short time because the acid breaks down the cell walls and make it chalky and dry after cooking. It's better to use a brine of 1/2 gallon water, 1/2 cup table salt, and 1/2 cup sugar if you know that you're not going to cook the meat right away. Acids don't tenderize meats, they flavor the meat and denature the proteins more than they break down the collagen. How do I know? By my experience of having to trash good meat that became inedible by attempting to tenderize with an acidic marinade for too long, and by experimenting with different marinade timing compared to unmarinaded meat. Try it yourself. The marinated meat isn't more tender. But brining does make the meat more moist and flavorful.

I would first smell them,if they have a odor,no good to cook them. If not, enjoy your pork chops. You have to be very careful with pork products cook them well.

I see no problem as long as they were not brought to room temperature. Think about it, meats are displayed in the cases at stores for 3 to 4 days and are not frozen.
