After you graduate highschool. You should be emmotionally and mentally matured enough before you start having sex. And you also must be a responsible person and have a plan if your partner or you gets pregnant. I also think that it should only be with someone that you love and care for. Because so many things can go wrong in a relationship that is just based on sex. Its suppose to be a special thing between two ppl.

Obviously it's not ok to be having sex at a young age. There is no law per se about what age it is ok to have sex. It should be how mature the person is. Don't sell yourself short and just have sex because you feel like you have to. Wait until it's right. Yes it is a corny line but you won't regret it if you wait.

Whatever applicable federal/state/county laws say about the age of consent. But that's just a guideline. You're not any more ready when you're 16 years old than you were at 15 years, 11 months and 29 days. But there's your ballpark figure, whatever the law says. And that way no one has to go to jail! Yay.

Also, whatever age the girl feels ready to go to an OB-GYN for an exam, and discuss pregnancy and all that.

I think it has less to do with age and more with maturity. Of course, if you're a devote Christian (or any other faith that would impose this rule), wait until you're married. If not, don't do it just because everyone else is doing it. Do it because you are in love, and make sure you use protection. Also if you're under the age of consent (18 usually), don't do it with someone over the age of consent or vice versa. You wouldn't want to have anyone wind up in jail over it.

Dont listen to all the bible-thumpers talking about waiting until marriage. You need to get out and have fun while you are young, that way you dont regret missing out when you get older. People always end up marrying the wrong person too young just so they can have sex. Then its divorce city. I started at 16 and that seemed to work out alright for me. Just be smart and use a condom, 16 year old kids with kids just arent all that awesome.

Have some self respect, as there are a lot more of those who do not, and wait until you get into a serious relationship. This is being treated as a recreational activity. HPV has been found to be causing both men and women to get cancer in the mouth, throat, lungs, anus, and cervix.

Age has nothing to do with it being okay

I'd say when you're mature enough to be responsible about sex. If you can't go to your doctor and talk to them about sex, birth control and stds and don't understand exactly how human fertility works, you're too young.
Also, if you have to hide the fact that you're having sex from your parents, then you're too young.
