Can anyone tell me what this donkey says?

How can Christians treat the writings in the Bible as fact? The fact is that donkeys CANNOT talk....so that is a blatant lie isnt it?

Caz - it is hard to believe because if he is so powerful why make the donkey speak? why not just stop the man?

In the past I have asked why God allows babies to die. Christians have told me that God does not intervene with us because it is up to us to recognise our sins and find our own way to God.....ok fair enough.....but here God IS intervening. So either the Christians saying he doesn't intervene are WRONG, ot the Christians who say he does intervene are WRONG....

RB - Yes I do believe that animals communicate with one another. And, yes, my dog barks too! But I think it is a MASSIVE step to say that because animals communicate with each other, they can talk to humans in human language.

But I guess thats what Christianity is about isnt it. Making assumptions where there are no facts.

Anna - How convinient! So you don't have an answer? How could I have possibly made up my mind? for starters I don't know what the donkey said (hence the question.....), second I asked how CHRISTIANS could believe something (If you study this question you will see that a relevant answer is one that is asking an opinion, I cannot have possibly made my mind up already about someone else's opinion) Contradiction? well i think thats somes the whole Bible up perfectly

When the donkey…turned off the road into a field, Balaam beat her to get her back on the road.…the LORD opened the donkey's mouth, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you to make you beat me?"

Balaam answered the donkey, "You have made a fool of me! If I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now."

The donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?

"No," he said. (Numbers 22:23-30 (NIV)

Fact: The God of the Bible is a Supernatural God! I know because He has proved this to me. He made the universe, He can do whatever He wants. He allowed the donkey to talk, to warn the prophet that an Angel from the Lord was about to kill him for doing something wrong against God's people. God takes people's actions very seriously because He loves us. He allowed the donkey to talk to prove to us that he can use a stupid, stubborn, donkey to make his point. The prophet could have seen the Angel, "IF" he would not have hardened his heart, like you have also. Forget trying to disprove the Bible. Confess your sins and turn away from them and turn to the Lord and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He will give you the Holy Ghost and you will be able to do supernatural things also!

The donkey asked why he was being beaten, and the angel said that the donkey protected. The serpent talked, too.
Don't animals communicate? One dog barks at a stranger, and then another..animals know. Maybe we are the ones who don't understand. I could tell by my dog's bark what she was hearing and seeing. Since God created, I am not going to rule out talking animals.

Paraphrased the donkey said, 'haven't I always been faithful to you?' on seeing an angel with a sword directly in front of them. The donkey saved his life by avoiding going farther down that road, literally. When we take the wrong road we can get hurt is the message, oversimplified. ? If you can't even find the story to read yourself how can you judge it as a blatant lie? My dog has never talked to me and probably never will, yet I fully believe this story. I know who wrote it and I believe Him. He has never lied to me. In fact He is TRUTH.

Saul (later named Paul) was on his way to persecute Christians (something he was very good at). The donkey (lead by Holy Spirit) intervened on his journey (he was riding the donkey at the time). He turned and said something (can't remember right now) that deterred him, then the Holy Spirit interacted with him directly and he turned from persecuting Christians to being a persecuted Christian.

Well, looks like Balaam's wasn't the only talking donkey...I won't answer your question as you're not prepared to listen to an answer--you've already made up your mind.

Don't limit your brain or God who made you.
Mathew 3:9
And don't presume to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones!'*

Do you find it disturbing that several answerers to your question are actually trying to rationalize this insane story?

I mean seriously, listen to these nutjobs... "Don't dogs bark? Why can't donkeys talk?"

Makes perfect sense right? For ***** sake, you people are bloody lost.
