I was a christian back 15 or 16 years ago, but gave up and become atheist, when I was just 12 or 13. I was considering to be born again many times and I went to churches on several occasions, but I get lost in the middle of their teaching. And for a while I was thinking Bible was full of lies and old-style "brilliant" story about some royal family who were winning and losing power for centuries.
But these days folks, all I think about is being born again christian and getting baptized once again and re-establish what I lost almost two decades ago. I am going to church tonight(I actually planned this days before), and I am hoping I will see the truth in Bible studies.

There are a lot of answers that can fit here, but the REAL difference is the Resurrection of Jesus.
Were it not for the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, chances are that Christianity would have failed within about 30 years (at the death of the last disciple).
Without the Resurrection, there would be no love, no peace of mind, and no reason to continue.

Minus the preaching this is what the Christians are saying: God became human and died on the cross to wash away human sin. It's like a free ticket into heaven.
In order to believe in Jesus you have to believe in the Bible. The Bible states that the Church is the Bride of Jesus. You are part of a Church already: the Church of Christ...founded by God, not men.

christianity is just a religion than any other, as for resurrection, look up osiris, attis, mithra.
cultures with an annual cycle of food production usually have resurrection myths, fight of summer and winter, good and bad.
a lot of christian beliefs are based on older religions, so it's not different from other religion. It's just the one most people here in this forum are most familar with. That's what makes it different to them. They have grown up with it...

Christianity is the only belief system where its not dependent on how good or bad you that decides your fate. The only reason Christians get into heaven is because Jesus sacrificed himself for us. There is nothing that a human can do to better secure a spot in eternity. All we can do is to accept Christ and realize that we can't do it alone.

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

It's not really that different. Christianity is like a way Where they teach you how to have a personal relationship with God and you can ask for forgiveness it just makes life easer.

individually, as an agnostic leaning in direction of atheist, i do no longer quite differentiate lots between christianity and different religions. i grow to be raised by a mormon mom and a catholic father (leaving me at a loss for words as hell), in spite of if I favourite to bypass with my dad - in particular by fact he merely went to a million hour of mass, and that that they had donuts later on. My mom might drag me alongside for 3 hours of LDS relaxing and exhilaration (assuming i did no longer be able to sneak out early). i found out tremendously early on that i did no longer have faith in any of the stuff that the two faith taught, or certainly any of the stuff that grow to be interior the bible, or different books (like the B.O.M.). I undergo in ideas arguing with the lecturers back whilst i grow to be nevertheless approximately 7-8, and in spite of if I performed alongside for a pair of years to maintain my mom off my back, I had already grow to be an agnostic (at terrific). on an identical time as that's achieveable that the countless issues that those religions carry forth could be actual, I carry that they are enormously inconceivable. the uncomplicated tenets of christianity are reliable - peace & love, etc., yet those get overshadowed by those with ulterior motives (politics, domination, administration with the aid of worry, et al) who earnings on the dedicated. i do no longer also have a concern with maximum religions, as long as they at the instant are not forcing human beings to have faith in them, or hurting every person else. some have achieved incredibly some reliable interior the international - like feeding/clothing the undesirable and searching after the ill. quite, in case you suspect in something, it does not harm every person else, and it makes you happy, then greater capability to you.

Thanks for taking part of my answer brother. But the most important difference is Jesus, his death on the cross, and his resurrection.
Christianity is the only religion where we are called not just to follow rules, but tho have the right attitude. We are called to understand and follow the intent of the law, not just follow the letter of the law.
The three basic premises are:
Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength,
Love your neighbor as yourself, and
Love one another as Jesus loves us.
Christianity is truly the religion of love. God is love. God loved us so much he sent Jesus to give us eternal life.
God bless you brother.

I have a book called "Why so many gods?" that says it rather well: "Christianity is the only religion where God is really God, because it's the only one where God saves the people instead of the people saving themselves."
