Misery loves company, and it sometimes helps to hear someone elses hard luck story. Go get a chocolate bar, and come back and read this.
So, here goes. It has rained here almost everyday, and my yard is very wet. I tried to mow with the rider mower on Tuesday, got it stuck in a small ditch that, in the past, I had mowed across a thousand times. The mower litterally slid down the hill, with me on it, and against the other side of the ditch. I admit it, I am not a small person, and the mower is bug green and taxi cab yellow. I also admit that when I first bought the mower, all the neighbors came out to watch me. They were laughing and pointing. I'm sure I am a site to behold. Had to pull the rider out by myself. Ouch! Hurt myself! Went inside, and went to bed. I work nights, so, I had not slept yet. The next days I worked. Today, I got the mail out of the box, threw it on the sofa, and went out to finnish trimming. And came back in, and read the mail. Guess what was in it! A notice from the city that I had 5 days [this is Friday}, to appear at the courthouse, or be prosecuted for not mowing, and it was dated the same day I mowed! Oh, heavens!
So, put this picture in your head. Old fat lady, hideous bilious colored mower being pulled and tugged out of a ditch, by the way, I had on a pastel shirt with butterflies on it, at least the pants matched it. I had on the same outfit when I opened the letter.
Are you laughing? Don't choke on your chocolate bar!
Dear, go find something interesting and fun to do. Rent a humorous video, call a friend who has a sense of humor, go shopping, go buy an ice cream cone, and eat it in the car. Take a drive.
Hope this helped!

Here are some things that always help:

-Sunshine
-Exercise !
-Helping other people / doing something nice for someone
-Getting your heart right with God

Beyond this, there are some health-related things that may help (more long-term solutions) like getting your vitamins, healthful oils/fats in your diet (essential fatty acids), etc.

Listen to hard rock and growl and snarl along with them. Before long you'll be happily enjoying the music and then you're over it.
