Because the belief of a god is more important to them than the belief in a particular god. Belief in no god is anathemic to them and so atheism is what must be most strongly attacked.
I would say that it speaks volumes about the knowledge of the self-delusion that these theists have and pretend not to.

I don't think anyone is "joining forces" against Atheists. I also want to point out that not all Christians are alike and certainly not all warmongers...perhaps if all Atheists want to be as generalizing and insulting as you, then we should join forces..BUT I know that not all atheists are alike.

Maybe because 19 people don't equal, what is it, I think either 1.7 or 1.9 billion people. Atheists use common sense. Christians don't. And I'm learning now that most of Islam is, even though I'm not converting just yet until I learn more. Why do you want to attack something you don't even understand? That means Dahmer represents all Christians, right? The Virginia Tech shooter represents all Christians, the idiotic Bush represents all. See where I'm going here? Christianity is responsible for destruciton of entire civilizations. Most Africans don't even know their original language because christians destroyed their culture. To be honest, I'd much rather be friends with a muslim than with a christian. The muslim doesn't force the religion down my throat.

You do not know the warring countries. Its a conflict between them but not among religious people alathough they were the ones to have been assigned to the wars.

True God is only virtue and will never ask to kill people in His name. Joining forces against people who do not resemble you is in charachter of Satan.

It is a human thing. It really has nothing to do with religion. Humans just have to have something to hate. Name one time period where one race or religion didn't hate another?
