how come if i leave the bathroom door open and i am going pee the cat comes running in?

They know that you are sitting down and cannot get up (pet me please) then after that, they get to watch that coo whirlpool in there. It is so fascinating.

My cat runs into the bathroom and joins me for a wee (his litter tray's in the bathroom). It's odd, but I assume that it just reminds him he needs to go!

good question my cat sit on the countertop in my athroom which overlooks the toilet...one time my cat was watching the whirpool as i was flushing (there was only a kleenex from blowing my nose) and she jumped in the toilet but quickly realized it was cold and wet ahah she went phyco it was pretty funny

Mabe your cat likes to run in a room thats with you and you would mabe pet it or play with it...try it!

dogs do it too -- they're just being social. My cat always hopes I'll turn the sink on and give him a drink.
