And before the whiners show up claiming there is no such link. Name every non-religious terrorist group you can think of then start naming the religious ones. The religious list will 10,000 to 1 times longer.

True, tighter controls would allow us to slowly choke of the air from these twin beasts and maybe have hope for peace someday. So I'd have to say yes.

Hello, Yahoochie:

Being a late responder means few will see my response, but the issue needs addressing.

First of all, most deaths were caused by greed--the root of all evil. You will recall Coloniallism? They killed an estimated 50 million in the Americas alone. Then there was the Marx athiestic experiment that killed an innumerable number in France's Reign of Terror; as well as Lennin's forced atheism that failed so misserably that entire cities and farms were peopleless, with no one to bury the corpes.

But you do make your point, Yahoochie, and that people fight over religion, too. The Catholic Inquisition, crusades, and religious-cleansing, killed an estimated 50,000,000 in eur/asia alone. And along comes Islam, and forced coversion to Allah. They took most of the area around the Medeterranean Sea so firmly the Crusades were unable to unsettle them.

Now, in the past you will understand that religion controlled states, and that is the plan under Globallism, a one-world religion that forces the conscience. The Bible predicts the formation of an "image" or reproduction of the past--yes it is coming, and it will seem the right thing to do.

Let me quote Revelation 13:15 "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."

Yes, it will seem the only thing to do, kill those who oppose the New Deal--they will be considered traitors and counter-revolutionaries--Yes, many died in China's Cultural Revolution, too.

There is a hidden Bible code that identifies the major player in this drauma, hidden in the only part of the Bible that says you can not understand it until "the end of the days." www.revelado.org/revealed.

Also, Islam and its assaults upon Christian nations was predicted, and is explained, in the Bible, too: at www.revelado.org/islam.htm

Blessings and peace in Christ, One-Way

I'd like you first to name 1000 terrorist groups, let alone 10,000.

Also, the fact that a particular terrorist may be religious does not imply that the terrorist group is religious in nature, or that it is driven by religion. Take for example the IRA. While many of these are Catholic, and that they have used terrorist activities in the past, they were not unified in motives based on religion, but primarily on English rule over Ireland.

Too, Early Americans used terror against the British when trying to separate themselves from British rule.

What about Nicaragua? Was that all religious?

Do you think that the United States didn't employ terrorism in Iraq? Do you not believe that the bombing campaigns we executed were not in some sense designed to instil terror in the leadership of that country? We may not have targeted civilians specifically, but we were certainly out to demoralize a nation. We call a potential attack on a military base in the U.S. terror, but how many military bases did we destroy in Iraq? Please .. show me the difference? We used the tools we had, and so do they?
Perhaps the greatest contributor to terrorism is nationalism. While there are many religious terrorists, I know of NONE who do so without a sense of nationalism. Why not outlaw national pride?

That could possibly be true. It could be one way Revelations is fulfilled concerning the destruction of religion.

It tells of the worldly governments. symbolized by the wild beast with seven heads and 10 horns, being ridden by the great drunken harlot, Babylon the Great, or the worlds false religions. the harlot is drunk with the blood of all the people they had a hand in killing. It rides the governments, trying to exert control-- pointing them in the direction the harlot chooses.

The worldly governments have had enough of her actions, throw her off and destroy her.

At some point in the near future, the governments will destroy all false religion. We should not waste time speculating how, as it would do no good. But, it could well be just the spirit of your question.

Oh, Yes! Religious controls. There's the answer, folks. Not cracking down on the terrorists themselves. Not punishing the butchers who cloak themselves in religious causes, like the KKK or the PLO. Let's control religion instead. You sound like Hitler. For the greater good, let's establish controls. It's for the betterment of humanity as a whole. What if they won't let go of their beliefs? What if they can't see the big picture like we can. Let's kill the Palestinians, then. Let's kill the Jews. They're religious. How about the Christians? Don't forget about them. They're doing more damage than good, don't you think?

You have a butcher's mentality, and you don't even know it. Do you really think Hitler started out saying he wanted to execute people? No. He was very humanistic. He wanted to strengthen Germany. He began as a very nationalistic man. Nothing wrong with that. National pride is a good thing. Unfortunately, when you start talking about controls, you start down a very different road. A road that takes away other people's freedoms for your convenience.

In modern times, I believe Theodore Kaczynski (aka Unabomber) was a left- wing terrorist wacko.

The idea that atheists are clear of blood on there hands, is not true. We could also look at the the French Revolution or the effect of the atheist Karl Marx in forming the of the Soviet Union.

For me this line of thinking advances, nether religion or atheism and is a waste of time.

Not so. You'll find that people mostly use religion for justification and not as a reason. Instead you should be looking at the point-the-finger and pass-the-blame culture that is prevalent over most of the known world. Nobody looks to themselves as the source of the world's problems any more.

Don't get me wrong - I am definitely not pro-religion here. I just think your 'link' is spurious.

No.

Changing laws to limit religion is just as bad as changing laws to allow religion to infiltrate public areas.

The vast majority of religious people are not involved in terrorist activities. Control the actions of those who are and allow people their right to beleive in whatever religion they like, or in none at all.

What are you talking about? They may use a religion to hide behind as they have since the beginning of time. But that does not make it religious. It is always the innocent victims that dictators use and kill.In the name of God doesn't make it so.Anyone who has intelligence knows that.So stop insulting mine.

It ain't about religion. If they truly followed their religion - and actually understood it - then they wouldn't be doing stuff like that.
