I believe it was CS Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia books) who said, "The most important thing in life is to allow yourself to love and to BE loved". That was his meaning of life.

The meaning of life for me is to do what I can, where I'm at, with what I have, and be no one else but me.

Maybe a little cornball but that is really what I think is important to remember in life.

We can't all do everything or be everything to everybody, we are in different places at different times and possess different material & financial capabilities. But it is really important to just be yourself. Not what you think others want you to be. Just be.

Believe it or not, God made you very special and unique just the way you are and you are beautiful to Him. He loves you and wants a relationship with you. OK I'll stop preaching now.

Astounding question. But you can't get the answer from someone else. You have to search it out for yourself. If you're sincere about really knowing, you won't be lazy about finding the truth. Everyone else can speculate, but it's not the same for everybody. Our journeys are all quite different. If anyone tries to lump your existence into all of mankind's, they are deceiving you, and robbing you of the full experience. Life is personal. And none of these wisdom-sharers are going to help you live yours. They're too busy living theirs. Go get truth. Not facts. Truth. Truth will free you to live your life to the fullest. As you were intended.

Ecclesiates12:13 - The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man.

We were created to fear Jehovah and obey him. We are to have him as the core of our lives while everything revolves around him.

For with God is everlasting life.

Besides it being something fun to do most of the time, I think it is movement. We move from one exsistance to the next bettering our Spirits/ Energy, and finding our place in the Creator, as we are a part of this life force.

You are born, you live, you die. It's the in-between, the living that makes a difference and makes it meaningful. Each person is to provide their own meaning to their life.

many good answers here.
I'll add mine.

Like someone pointed out here, we all give coloured interpretations of the meaning of life, according to our own experience.

However, the meaning of life, is to find meaning for yourself.
To define yourself in your highest potential and identity, and to manifest it, on all levels of your life.

To define yourself in your highest self, is like swimming through countless of layers of influence of the world around you, that have sîppled into your consciousness and into your believe system. It is like swimming through layers of convictions you hold about who you are, and what life means for you.
It is like the continuous process of letting go of certain believes and accepting new ones, ultimately reaching definitions of who you are and what life means to you, that reflect you in your highest potential.

Ofcourse these definitions are barren of life, when void of a strong sense of love.

I wish you a nice journey, where you find the reflection that shows you in your highest vibration of who you are.

Greetings

wow..good question!!

I personally answer it from a christian perspective, as I have found the answer there, I pray that it will help you too.

I heard a philosophical quote once saying "...you do not know where you are going, unless you know where you came from." And it made sense...so I asked myself "where am I from, and where am I going? why am In existance?"

And the answer was found in Christianity...we are from God, e are created in "...God's image"...and image of unity, love, giving...and originally created to be with Him...unfortunately our first parents fell and we were all kicked out of heaven...so given the above understanding of where we came from, then it would only make sense that my purpose and meaning of life is to find my way back to Him...Proverbs of Solomon says "...remember the Lord in your youth, before the spirit departs and goes back to it's creator." So when my spirit goes back to Him, will I recognise Him or not? Will I be so eager to be with Him to live with Him for all eternity or not?? Have I made the effort to find Him and know him or not?

That is why He gave me Baptism, confirmation and communion, along with all the other sacrements, with a good street directory known as the Bible. He even gave me a few road-side stops to rest and refresh known as the Church. And given that we were created in His Image of Love, we have to reflect by loving ech other and showing Godly love and care to one another...Once I get this down right and perfected, I know that I have found Him, because that would be the moment that He would turn around to me and say "...well done worthy servant...enter into the joy of your master..." in other words "Welcome home, my Child".

That made sense to me...did it help you out at all??

I pray that God gives you the peace and guidance that you need. God bless you my friend.

Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
