My former brother in law took culinary arts at a community college. My husband also did that. He ended up being a manager at an Italian place in Phoenix. With both of them it took two years for the AA degree. But to be a real chef, you have to go to Le Cordon Bleu or the CIA. Then intern at different places, and then keep studying and doing more work, and someday down the road you can get your Master Chef designation. That could take many more years. I worked for a Chef once that was still working on his Master Chef designation.

You can be a Chef after school if you pass, but a Master Chef is like going for your PhD!

Another good school is the CIA, in upstate NY. You may also want to look into an apprenticeship. I got my start by working under a very well known Chef and he taught me many things, I then went onto school from there, while at the CIA you will also do an apprenticeship. I have pasted a link to their website for you. Good luck!

go to your local authorities and ask for a collage prospectus which will tell you what courses they have available to you, if they have not got what you want try going to job interviews were they offer to train you and sent you to collage that way you will get experience as well as the training, its very hard work but very rewarding too. best of luck.

You would have to go to school. Not sure where you are , but you can search for schools on the internet and that will help you. Schools are a year to two years.
