I'm brunette, dark brown hair. My complexion is not fair like blonde girls, but not dark as Latinas, either. Smth in between. I have frizzy hair and very dry texture, even though I always use hair mask (cream) after shampooing and keep that on my hair for 10 mins before rinsing. I don't know what to do to change my hair's texture and make it soft and not frizzy anymore. I also wanted to dye my hair a lighter colour as summer starts and a light brown hair looks better on a tanned skin. Please tell me what do you think, whether dying my hair lighter will make my hair more beautiful and what to do to make it soft, non-frizzy and to be brilliant (shining). Thanks a lot!

Going lighter can really make your hair appear much frizzier. Going to an auburn will give your hair a healthy looking lift and it can be lighter. DO NOT permenant products a they are known to dry hair out terribly. Get a trim too to get rid of some slpit ends. Lighter hair can make hair appear thinner too.

OK here are some options to your dilemma. You could do some Carmel highlights that would look really nice.I would also try one of the new hair colors that have a base color and highlights all in one box. If your hair is frizzy try a ceramic hair straightener or let a professional chemically straighten your hair. Also try adding layers if you don't have them already.I wouldn't go to light with your hair summer sun can make hair go brassy and faded in a heart beat.Just go a couple shades lighter maybe 2 or no more then 3. hope it woks!

If you do not have other hair color on your hair you can lift out some highlights with color. You can have a glaze applied between the foils to enhance shine. I find that with the proper choice of product and care full application that color can enhance the texture of the hair. I would book a color consultation and talk to them about my suggestion. I would not color the entire head with a lighter color however. Best of luck.

OK... first, i hope you down shampoo your hair everday... that would be one reason why your hair is dry, now 2nd maybe you should get a different hair mask, try to get one with olive oil in it and silk proteins, those are supermoisturizing... ok... I'm sure the lite brown would look nice but consult a color specialist to see which brown will look best with your skin color, dont do it yourself. the color will make your hair more dry if you dont take care of it.... good luck
