At any given time in history, there are numerous wars and conflicts going on. Currently there are 40+/- conflicts in the world. The only time the WORLD WAR status is attibuted to a war is when the superpowers square off on opposite sides in open declarations of war. We are far from that scenario, altho i agree the spark is there to ignite a larger conflagaration. But for now, just think regional conflicts, proxy wars, brinksmanship and disagreements between rump states.

When the US, Russia and/or China square, then come back and we'll talk WW III. The history books haven't declared the Cold War as WWIII or the current war on terror as WWIV. You'll know when WWIII hits, that burst of EMP will be your first warning....

As Einstein is often quoted as saying, WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones....

I don't think Russia would be a big player in another world war. Economically they can't afford it.

However my personal opnion is the stage is set and everyone is waiting for something to set it off.
Iran has a large standing army, and Navy.
China is more militarized than the US.
The list goes on forever. Already we see evidence of countries forming alliances and building larger more sophisticated weapons. The only element missing is hostile takeovers. As soon as one of the countless countries in the world today start expanding thier border be prepared for a War.

World war 3 has started. The Muslim extremists are fighting in multiple countries around the world, with the aim of making every country in the world Muslim. :You will be praying 20 times a day, the women will have to wear the all covering clothes, they will not be allowed to leave their fathers or husbands house, there will no education for women, education of the men will be to study the Koran. That what a possible future looks like if we cave in to the Democrats and bring the troops home. Luckily I am 77 years old and will be dead when this happens, but my children, your children, and their childres will have to suffer.

i do no longer think of that Zellman is conscious the meaning of a "international conflict". It skill that the whole of the international is at conflict! no longer a bite of it interior the mountains and valleys of Afghanistan yet each and every freaking united states of america with a protection tension device to wrestle the enemy of their allies. sure i think of that this era will see a nil.33 international conflict and after that there should not be any further wars in any respect. Well, it certainly hasn't happened in the past, and it does not appear to be happening now . . .

So if World War Three ever starts, it will HAVE to be in the future . . . so I guess the answer is yes.

Russia, along with the Arab Muslims will be against the Europe, the US and Israel over the Middle East.

China and Asia will also be involved to "protect" their assets.
