My fiance is a marine mechanic he cant do it much more years because its taking a toll on his body ,and the prices of gas are driving the customers away. what is a good next job for an honest hard working mechanick that will bring in the bucks ??? Jen

How about home repairs or apartment maintenance. It might not pay as well, but there is a great demand as older people are staying in there homes longer and can't always do the repairs themselves.

Stick with a job that is close to his mechanical abilities like auto or small engine mechanic or become a service advisor at a dealership....his mechanical knowledge should help him in that position although car experience would be better.

Get into the pwc (jetski, waverunner) scene.

The components are lighter so lifting isn't an issue, you can wheel the vessel into your work bay and most existing pwc mechanics are idiots. If your fiance can diagnose 4 stroke and efi faults, the industry will welcome him with open arms.

I would reccommend him to check out the local seadoo dealers as they are shitboxes and need competent mechanics regularly.
