He has an amazing track record. True some of his theories might be proven false down the road, but so many of them have been proven tue, that we allow for the probability that a majority of the rest are correct. Every heard of black holes? he and his partner were the first to predict their existance when he was still agraduate student. At the time it wasn't taken seriously till they were discovered and even photographed. If you want to actually learn something about the man instead of just making you own theories about him with you drinking buddies, click on the link.

1) That first one you mentioned has been known for a long time - before he came along.
2) And that's not what happens. The Sun is not on fire.
3) He is MUCH smarter than you. No matter what you think when you're drunk.
4) Yes, his theories are indeed testable.

Scientists have been watching Novas and supernovas in space for years, Stars collapsing is a universal fact, and Hawkins is well clever (even if he is just talking rubbish nobody else ever thought of the wierd stuff he comes out with)
suggest you do a bit of reading and check out how many people agree with him

This theory was put forth long before Hawking. The Sun is expected to Nova one day and it will expand and we will experience tempertures so hot the oceans will probably boil and that will go on for years and then the Sun will shrink.
I don't think much of Hawking's theories myself and I don't think they'll will last much beyond his death. Einstein he ain't.

The fact that you have no idea what the difference is between combustion on Earth and the nuclear fusion generating heat and light in the sun, and from that go on to attempt to rubbish one of the most respected physicists of the modern era, says an awful lot about you, and not much of it is good.

The fact that your ability to construct a decent sentence with proper spelling leads me to think that you are incapable of coming up with any theory other than who's round it is.

Hawking's work has strong empirical suport. I f you understood how the process of science worked, yyou'd know that is basically saying he know's what he's talking aoout.
And where did you get your PhD in physics?
