I'm a military wife and I have seen my husband a number of times cleaning his dirty hats in the sink with dish soap.

I suggest taking it to a professional cleaners. If you want to do it yourself we have a hat frame we got from LIDS in the mall and we put are hats in it stick it in the washer on cold water on gentle cycle then wash, then air dry.

to wash a cap one has to take capful of soapy liquid and a brush to scrub the cap if its become too dirty. if not just wash it like any other clothes in your Washing machine.

P.S. do not use hot water and bleach .

You can wash it in a dishwasher on no heat with less soap then you would put in for like dishes. That's how I wash my uniform cap.

Just put it in your washing machine on genital with mild detergent, then let it air dry.

cold water gentle, dry on medium and make sure not to get the plastic too hot.
