My periods are irregular. I have also consulted to n number of doctors. I use to take up a treatment, it se to work for at the most 2 months and then again my periods use to be irregular. I have even done sonography to chk whether any problems in my internal systems. But everything is just fine. I was the told that my menstrual cycle itself is of 3 months.
I was suggested to take up birth control pills before my marriage. just take pills before 5 days from the period date and then stop intaking the same. i use to get it regularly then , but only after takin the pills. how safe is it to take up those pills???

Taking the pill is pretty safe for most people but the dr will help you determine if it's right for you based on your overall health situation. As for the irregular periods, it's very possible that you could have a hormone imbalance that could be causing the problem such as with the thyroid. They can find this out thru a series of blood tests to see what is going on.

The pills are pretty safe. You really need to check with your doctor about how safe they are for you. My family has a history of strokes and the dr didn't think it was enough to worry about though, so my little sister got on the pill. She was maybe on it for a year for her periods also, about 2 weeks before her 17th birthday she had a stroke. Who would of guessed?? Thats the only thing the dr's could come up with is her pills. It does say it on the tv not to take if you have things like that in your or your family history. I got on the depo shot when I was 13 for my periods. It was great I was one of the girls that didn't bleed at all. I didn't get off till I was 18. I was scared of what everyone was saying, that if your on it for too long you wont be able to have children. Dont beleave it!! I have been off it for a little over a year and I am 61/2 months along expecting a little boy! I hope I helped some!! Sorry for my storys! Good luck : )

There must be some harmonal imbalance. Are you obese? I would recommend you to drink Indian Mulberry fruit juice which is supposed to correct the harmonal imbalance.
