If you spend your time thinking about dying then I'd guess that you are not living your life to the fullest. Just as you will not be living your life to the fullest as long as you are obsessing over any other thing or topic. Focusing on one thing makes you forget about so many other things.
Can we live life to the fullest even though we know that we are going to die? Of course. Can we live your lives to the fullest even though we know we only have a short time to live? Of course. It's not about the fact that we are all going to die, it's about how we chose to handle the fact.

No. Instead, dying should be an inspiration to live your life to the fullest. By fullest I mean living in a better person (not a saint though) and asking yourself, what's the purpose of my life? What is God's (if you believe Him) desire that I must do to be saved. and you must find the Way.

I don't want to sound religious but I don't want to hide my belief either to better answer the question.

Even if w/o God, what would be lost? You lead a better life. and in the end you will say, I lived my life to the fullest, w/o hate, w/o deceit, and w/purpose. living like that, will you still think about dying?

that's why we can live its fullest! if we had all the time in the world we would be too lazy to do all the things that we are doing now!
take the example of an unemployed person and someone who is working. Scientists made a test! they gave to a housewife and a business woman a post card to send. The first one did it after two weeks and the second one send it the same afternoon. That means that when your time is limited you can arrange it better, be more organized and more creative ;o)

No i don't think so...coz we know that we all have to die oneday but the life is full of happiness and sorrow..so..its not sure that if we will think about dying then we can live the life fullest...we already know that we HAVE to die.So..we should never be hopeless and we SHOULD live our life fullest..its doesn't matter whether its the time of sorrow or happiness...coz the life is of both...

The biggest contributing factors to our ability to lead a reasonably satsfying life are

1) future is uncertain
2) the timing of death can not be foreseen

Otherwise, why death, even a certain knowledge of an impending accident would make our life totally miserable. The above two factors ensure that we are always hopeful that death is not imminent and therefore, we are able to completely forget death and indulge fully into living the life.

Great question.... Star!!

I think life can only be lived to the fullest when we come to grips with death and accept that its a journey that all of us must take. It is those who live in constant fear of death that do not live full lives. They are constantly looking around the next corner, afraid to take risks or do what their hearts tell them because their fear of death prevents them. Or worse, their fear of what comes AFTER death. In my view, one must give up this notion that they will burn in hell or be punished forever should they not live a certain way. That is a concoction of religion in order to control the masses through fear, not a reality. Oh yes, coming to grips with death and what comes after is a huge part of living a full life. It could make all the difference in the world between living a life of peace and serenity or constant fear and anxiety.

life can be lived to its fullest when you know this life is temporary, whatever the situation you found yourself in one day it will be over, whether you are rich, poor sick hungry, you never can tell when its going to be over, why do you stressed yourself, all is vanity, live your life as if you will never be in a minutes and think of the day you will be in a grave. life is too short for lamenting be happy with whatever situation you are going through, because it is temporary. do all the good things you can do each day.

What is it that a man yearns for when his limbs ache daily, his breath is weazy, and his vision is nearly gone? What about a new born infant, coming into the world in isolation and fear? What is it that the suicide craves? All of these do not crave death, but more life. They long for restoration, for life, abundant life. The old man longs for his body to be as it once was, the infant longs for someone to be there, for comfort, the suicide does not wish his life to end, but for his life to be just that, life. So, when we think of dying are we actually thinking of death itself? No, internally we wish to be made fully alive. Basically to answer your question, 'when one thinks of dying, they are actually really thinking on more life.
