uk or russia who would win!?

tensions seem to be gettin high, just curious who would win if the uk and russia atarted fighting? any info?

with no allies allowed? The former Giant the USSR is gone the rusting remains called Russia has neither the will to fight nor the Infrastructure. If they Both had the will to fight and would not sue for peace? I would say they are more evenly matched than not at this point. Remove the Nukes and it would depend on the battlefield. the UK would I feel would be most effective in a Sea /Marine action and Russia in and Army Land Based war. Both have a long History of tenacity and Guile. It would be a war of Attrition as Both sides would be looking for money quite quickly. The Russians have a Population of around 145 million well down from the forces they could muster as the USSR The UK at 78 million would soon deplete a tenable land Position. You soon have A Tiger versus a Shark scenario. Just my Opinion.....

Some of these responses goes to show how clueless many of you are.

First of all, yes Russia still has a relatively strong military, however it is nowhere near what the USSR once had and their military has been suffering for years - Economically, Russia is in much worse shape.

As for relations between Russia and US/Europe, while there may be disagreements from time to time, they are immensely better then what was experienced during the Cold War. The Russian people are very prideful and they don't want the world to see them as irrelevant in the world today and their actions reflect that.

As for China and the US, China has no interests in joining Russia in any war. China may make political statements with Russia from time to time for *political* reasons, but the only thing China really cares about is it's own economic goals which are dependent on good relations with the US. China in fact wants closer relations with the US more so than any other country in the world, as China sees the US as being key to it's continued economic growth.

The only realistic way the US and China would ever go to war, would be over Taiwan and at this point neither country wants that to happen, for both have too much to lose. The only real threat Russia poses, would be if some radical leader took office with dreams of bringing Russia back to the days of the USSR.

An all out war between any of these countries would be devastating for the world at large and ultimately there would no winners, as the risk of nuclear war would be an unfortunate reality.

I'd like to advice Russia to be more conscious! Russia has the problems with All neighboring countries. Dear Russia Forget the dream about Soviet union!
Anyway, I'm sure there would be no war between Russia and Ukraine.

Russia, and within minutes (without the involvment of US)! Russia is a very strongly defended country, and is not a country to compare its power with Britain.
And one more thing, the tensions growing are between US and Russia and not b/w UK and russia.

The UK would draw in the US as an ally, thus ending US-Russian & relations.

Russia would draw in China as an ally, thus ending US-Chinese relations & UK-Chinese relations.

I would only imagine Western Europe would join up the UK, thus ending EU-Asian relations. Etc...

Suddenly, billions of people, like it or not, would be at war. I'd say you guys get your new P.M. in place (quickly) and talk out any problems.
