No. SETI, the first organized search for extraterrestrials was set up in 1960. We are pretty sure now that there is no other intelligent life forms on the planets in our solar systems apart from earth (and even that is arguable). In 1974, a coded message of 1,679 bits was transmitted towards the Globular Cluster M13, about 25,100 light years away. If someone there heard us by the time their reply reach us it will be in the year 52174.
In 30 years time.....we are still alone......

Why 30 years? We are definitely not alone at this moment. I know, but don't know how to communicate with them. Meeting them is just not possible either. Right now I'm trying to find something that can travel many times faster than the speed of light. And I guess what I'm doing now is more important than just keep on watching them and no communication at all.
You are also invited in this research. If we achieve that super-speed, universe will become small for us. Our own galaxy limit will reduce to couple of months or years than the present 100 Light Years, edge to edge.
Everything that we talk now corresponds to the limit of light speed, that we know as the fastest for human, because we can measure it. We can detect the light coming from 14 billions light years. I guess there is some different matter that takes just few seconds to travel to 14 Billion Light Years and we are just unable to detect it.
I'm very close to achieve it and it will be published very soon.
Cheers ...

I think there must be some other forms of life elsewhere, maybe different than us. Who knows ? The best we have to figure it out are our scientists. If we spent more money on things like this...looking for life, rather than more weapons to kill each other, maybe we could advance. Think about it, if you were a more intelligent "alien" watching what was going on here on Earth, why would you want to know us ? You would probably be afraid we would destroy other planets too ! (An intelligent being from beyond, would think it better to bypass Earth. )

Yeah of course . there are 100's of flyin' disks seen and many people believe that they faced the aliens and in about 30 years ithink definitly that we'd know humans are not alone.

If we are alone, we will never know it for sure. On the other hand, we could make contact with aliens tomorrow. You can't put a schedule on something like that.

flip a coin.
and as previous poster said. If we find em so what. the message may have been sent many thousands of years ago.
By that time they could have died out. Evolved or even started to use fossil fuels.

Though their existence is theoretical we know that they must exist.
We could receive confirmation of their existence to-morrow or never but you can be assured they are out there and they discuss us in the same way.
