Pitching wins. And the White Sox starting 5 ERA is actually LOWER than Boston. So that is fine. Both bullpens are good. The Red Sox are hitting much better - but in a 5 or 7 game series - I say it is even. But when they met last in the playoffs in 2005, the White Sox swept them. So I say Chicago could win. But they have to start hitting first.

White Sox
BoSox-3.17era Wakefield's era about to sky rocket
ChiSox-3.78era remember they got off to a horrible start
White Sox hitting is finally coming around, bullpen will be solid and they will do it again. The Red Sox, Indians, Twins, Tigers and Angels will all be good teams but all will fall short.
Red Sox beats Indians in 4 ALDS
Sox beat Angels in 4 ALDS
White Sox beat BoSox in 6 ALCS

Are you kidding me? The only good thing White Sox HAD going for them was Mark's no-no. Look at BoSox's staff.
1. Schilling 4-1 3.28 era
2. Beckett 7-0 2.51
3. Matsuzaka 4-2 4.80
4. Wakefield 4-2 1.79
5. Tavarez 1-3 6.48 (not very impressive)

and not to mention the bullpen is pretty solid through to Papelbon. Sox offense is unbelievable. Maybe a few holes with the yound second baseman Dustin Pedroia but other than they are definitley a playoff caliber team.

Obviously it will be the Red Sox, they are doing fabulously this year. I'm not here to bag on anyone else's team but...the White Sox are 16-16 the RED SOX are 23-10, I think the numbers speak for themselves...you heard it here first!!

Well, the Red Sox will probably do it. But they won't be playing the White Sox for it. It would be the Indians in there before the White Sox.

The White Sox are barely above .500 and will likely get worse. It is a miracle they aren't in last already. The Redsox have the best record in the AL, they get my vote.

Best starting pitching, best bull pen, and second best offense. Nothing else you can ask for.

How do you know they'll be there in the end?If I had to chose I'd say Red Sox but I don't think either of them will get there.I say the Indians win it."You heard it hear first!!!"
