You again! Hiya Dru'!
Yes, us men do if we really dig the gal/chick. It makes him feel as if she is happy to have this title and lends itself to the idea that the gal is dedicated to him if she openly tells another that she is his girlfriend,......with one exception.
If you were my girlfriend, and you said,......"Hi, I'm Dru" and not add the "whom" value you are to me, this could backfire and make the me feel like I am not being claimed legitimately as you being my girl friend. This could cause a guy to wonder why she may tell him she is his girl friend together in private and be hesitant to make such a claim to others.
If the exception happened, ......then I'd be very cautious in the "trust" area if I was the guy, or, wonder what dynamic is holding her back. Maybe a comfort issue or a privacy issue. I guess it depends on the longevity of the relationship and how strong and healthy it is.
SORRY I screwed this up and had to re-edit my post with better logic based on my past experiences.

I guess it's confirmation of his territory being 'marked', but, like everything else, it depends on the individual. If it's someone who is 'playing the field', having someone identified as his girlfriend would be counter-productive. Also, as Lt. Dan pointed out, IS she his girlfriend? If she's not and he doesn't see her that way, then that could definitely be a problem.
As for me, I would say yes, I would like it. Very much.

I think not, she'll be dubbing her way right out of that relationship.Without YOU and ME there can be no US.If she's gonna step up and take control she might wanna make sure the man is ready to be controlled.

I never dub myself any body's girlfriend until he lets me know that he sees me that way himself! Then, if I love him in that way and want to be his girlfriend, I consider it a great honor, and I proudly tell the world! *sm*

If they have already established a relationship and it is agreed they are then I don't see a problem.
But if she just makes herself his gf and he doesn't know about it, then she is a clinger or stalker.
