Not really! You may find sites that tell how long a home has been on the market. However, if a seller takes it off the market and then relists it will start all over again. So If a seller had a house listed for 190 days and takes it off the market when he relists the number of days starts with one again. You are not privy to that info as a buyer! This protects the seller from people who are looking for quick sells at low prices. This is good also because most homes in this market, thanks to the idiotic media, are on the market a long time through no fault of the seller and their home.

Yes. Work with a Buyer's Agent. The REALTOR will be able to access the current listing and all prior listings of the house to tell you how long the property has been marketed.

Yes it is called MLS
www.mls.com.
This is will give you information on the house.
I would also go to your cite or state websight and do a property search to make sure there are no back taxes on it. You can also enter in your local newspaper archives the adress to make sure that there was no bad dealings in the house prior to sale. (fire, deaths or drug charges).
