Excellent point! Let's stop cherry-picking and make divorce illegal as well. If you're going to use the Bible as a defense for your condemnation of homosexuality then you need to follow everything else that's written in the Bible. That's like me saying "Well, I'm only going to follow some of the laws. I won't murder anybody but I can go in the store and steal a few things".

there isnt a movement against divorce in the US because it has been normalized in the last few decades. My grandmother was excommunicated from the catholic church in the mid-70's for geting divorced despite the fact that my grandfather abandoned her with 5 kids. SO there was a movemnet against it once upon a time. one can only hope that eventually, the idea of gay marriage will normalize as well.
the bible is just a way of controlling people.

One reason is because divorce received all its attention a while ago, while gay marriage is a more recent movement. If you've seen "Walk the Line," there's a scene where a woman tells June Carter basically that she should be ashamed of herself for getting divorced. Now, it has become more accepted. Hopefully the same will happen with gay marriage in a few years.

Well, you remember Prohibition? It's an okay idea that you shouldn't drink alcohol (no *real* need for it), but so many people did it, anyway, that it failed. (Yes, I imbibe...)
Anything that a lot of people do eventually gets okayed. That's why adultery, divorce (and wearing two kinds of cloth) are not such a big deal in main-stream churches any more. They go now for a lot of the things that just a minority of people do. (They lose fewer people that way!)

God has His rules on divorce, but men made up their own rules!
Mans rules say adultery is no longer a reason for divorce, but will grant one just because two ppl just don't love one another anymore!
God hates divorce, but He will not force you to stay in an abusive or adulterous relationship.
Man says it is ok to keep getting divorced if you see someone else you want to screw for a while!
God only allows one divorce & it better be on grounds of adultery or fornication,(Not obeying Him) & the guilty party is not allowed to remarry. The innocent party can only remarry another christian & that only once.

Frogman is right as far as what the bible says, but the bible also says to hate the sin and not the sinner. We all have to answer for our sins even the ones we pick and choose.

Who cares? Besides, you should be spewing religious rhetoric in the Jesus Loves Me section, not the gay pages. Or perhaps you're just trying to be antagonistic.
