Are we talking toilet time here?? If so then ewwwww....husbands/boyfriends/significant others need to stay out......privacy DOES matter - especially at that time of the month!!! Some things should remain sacred during a relationship and toilet time is one of them! Show this message to your hubby and hopefully he will agree!
Good Luck!

Ok... i'm not a lady, but I do have insight. It's natural to have the bathroom to yourself. Explain to your husband you do still need your own personal space, and perhaps in time, you'll eventually open up. It's not being uptight. It's just keeping a hold on having a bit of privacy. When you are newly weds it is natural, besides, you two have the rest of your lives together, so plenty of time to relax and enjoy getting closer to each other, and opening up all the doors when your ready.

I have a lock on my bathroom door and I use it. My husband and I would never barge in on each other when going to the bathroom...showering maybe....going to the toilet...NEVER.
Just because you're married doesn't mean you give up your privacy and personal space.
If he doesn't want to respect how you feel about him barging in then put a lock on your bathroom door.

When I was first married I remember wanting privacy in the bathroom, but after twelve years together I don't think it matters anymore. I've also had two children and when half the town hospital has seen parts of you that you've never seen you tend to lose some of your modesty. I can't remember the last time I even shut the bathroom door, I don't even know if the lock works. Sometimes I look up and the whole family is in there having a conversation.

Been Married for 25 years. And I still value my privacy when using the bathroom- not to say he never walks in on me.
But if I am going #2- GET OUT!
Taking Showers, Baths I don't mind if he comes in there.
I don't have periods anymore. But when I did, that was not something I liked to share with him.

.....yes I do, I don't think it's a romantic setting but it's practical....I don't want to wait however long to use the sink, mirror etc. But if this turns you off tell him he should respect your space. My Husband was like you at first but as the marriage progresses some seem to care less. When it's that time of the month he is pretty cool, he's a science minded guy and isn't grossed out by the human body....I kind of like that attitude....but each to their own.

It is interesting to me that you are soliciting answers from ladies. Here is my unsolicited, from a man, response. If you want privacy when you go to the bathroom ask for privacy. I'm assuming this isn't a moral question for you. I would ask for what I want, lock the door to help him remember and express concern where my perspective was not being honored.
He married a woman who wants to go to the bathroom alone. That was his choice. He should respect your feelings and boundries instead of calling you names.

I know I want privacy. Is there a lock? If so , use it. and tell him to wait til you get out. You don't barge in on him ? Maybe you should to make him see how it feels unless he really don't care.

Yes I do allow my husband in with me. He knows my body anyway. So why not. He does however respect my privacy if I ask to be alone for awhile for a nice bath or shower.

I say lock the door and tell him to knock! It's your turn , and if he thinks its okay to barge in , do it to him. But if you don't want him to , just let him know. A girl's gotta have privacy !

If im brushing my teeth or something and the door is left open thats ok, but if the door is closed then he would knock and ask whatever it was from behind the door.Everyone is entitled to a little privacy! get a lock on the door that'll stop him..
