I started feeling physically old at 50. I never want to feel mentally old! I believe that you are only as old as you think you are. So always make time to play!

I am 54, and honestly still don't feel that I am getting old. My mind is still in it's 20's and my body is still in it's 30's. I have excellent health, still go hiking, mountain climbing and jogging, do my own housework in a large house and take care of the animals and the garden. I am constantly on the go, and will continue to be that way until everything shuts down. Age has never been important to me, so has never been an issue. The only time I ever even think of my age is when I see how old my children and grandchildren are getting! I really think you are as young as you act, which makes me very young indeed!

This is a great question!

I am 50, I will be 51 in December. My mind is in my 20's, and still learning. My body has some aches and pains, but I really still do not feel "old".

I only feel "old" when I've traveled from the US and have to hang around Heathrow for a layover for hours, get misdirected, and go through their security measures 20 times! Then I'm so exhausted by the time I reach my destination that I feel like I'm 80!

I have always been quite mature for my age and was already worrying in my twenties. I think up to twenty i could not wait to grow up but once i was over 25 and heading towards thirty i started to feel old. Now i am heading towards 40 and actually feel younger than i did then. I feel more confident now.
The way i look at it is if we live to 100 and we divide life into 4 seasons Spring is up to 25 when we start to grow. Summer is 25-50 when we are in full bloom. 50-75 is autumn a beautiful time of year. 75-100 is winter.
I think sometimes it depends on circumstances as well i had my first baby at 21 and felt i missed out on my teenage years now my children are growing up i have more freedom to develop myself.

You are only as young or as old as you feel - but you will find you can't cope with everything you way you use to and how you did earlier when you get older - roughly 50+ years - not old but you know you are not a spring chicken anymore

Somewhere in University I think everyone asks "when did I get old enough..." It happened again when ugly 80's clothes started to be wore again. The third time was when I realised that I do couple things and have "couple" friends....
