Copper believe to be good metal for piercing. Make sure you get it done through right technique and use antiseptic if need ask your doctor to give you one week oral antibiotic to prevent infection. Good luck. Spartan

when i first got my nose pierced for like 3 months i constantly got a zit right by/on my nose ring hole. It was irritating and ugly I know...........

all i can tell you is that after the piercing healed completely (i don't remember maybe 2-3 months) everything was cool... no more infections EVER again..... I have now had my pierceing for 5 years

You will always have mucus and germs in your nasal area/cavity. Maybe you need to err to the side of caution and not pierce again for fear the next infection could be worse than the others. This is your body's way of telling you don't do it. My sister had the same problem years ago- she does not pierce or have her nose pierced anymore and she has not had an infection on or near her face since.

Firstly, anything foreign you put into the body is at risk for infection. The best way to start is to make sure the piercing is done in an clean environment and sterile. Make sure the person doing it has the right licences. After the piercing you should follow the instructions given to you. Keeping the area clean. Try not to touch it so much just to turn when needed.. I would use anti-biotic soap when washing my face. make sure your not allergic to the metal that is used.. good luck...

#1. Use a sterile needle
#2. Clean with soap when you wake up and go to bed
#3. Do not play with the piercing
#4. Do not use any lotions, creams, or makeup near the area
#5. Do not use peroxide on it, ever

Get it done by a professional, clean ad hygienic, using a pure metal ring (no nickel because you could be allergic and this is what's causing the infection).

what type of nose ring were you wearing? Some people are allergic to silver, stainless steel, gold (I'm allergic to gold), so if you REALLY want to pierce your nose again, try a different type of nose ring.
