Let's not get philosophical here but look at it in a scientific way. If we want, we have the right to know what countries our ancestors come from. I had DNA testing done which determined that I was 100% Caucasian with 16% South East Asia. I deem it my right to know what ingredients there are in my melting pot.

The subcontinent if India is very large, highly populated, and very ancient. Every race and none are represented. Did you know the Celtic peoples originated there? Most Western European languages have their roots there also. If Africa was the birthplace of mankind, India was the cradle in which it rocked. There were waves of invasions and migrations, one of the most famous was that of Alexander the Great., but there were also the Moghul and British empires. Although every single skin colour and type are represented, I do not think that we could, or should talk of race.

caucasoid..the term came from the caucaus mountains near india..and if you go on the cia world factbook, you will see that over70% of india is 'aryan'. the term is not anything like what had to do with hitler. he just stole it. its actually a part of indian history and culture. and arabs are semitic..and other afghans, pakistanis are also aryan partly.

Indians may be called South Asians because of India's geographical location but in terms of genetics, they are classified under Caucasoids.

Few people still think Indians are genetically closer to black people but this is not true.

Other Asians such as the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tibetan, Mongolians, Indochinese (Thai, Vietnamese, Laotian, Burmese, Cambodian) Malays, Indonesians, Filipinos, etc are classified under Mongoloids.

You will never know not until you come out of your shell. What colour scheme and what eyes you see does not make a person change a race. An indian is an indian.
You will see more on diversity of race and culture if you keep travelling east.
I look like Indonesian, Philippine, Thai, Myanmar, Chinese, Cambodian, Malay. You never guess. We are asians.
And i speak English.
Welcome to the third world.
