I'm 43 and have been having more fun in the past year than ever before. I've learned to appreciate my own qualities and like myself more than I ever did and so I don't look for the approval of others. I don't have to be smarter, better or anything else. I enjoy things more now that I'm not so stressed about impressing others. I also try to think outside the box. It makes me enjoy and appreciate things that I would have not thought possible.

Now! I'm 55, just finished college, in art, and I'm slappin' the paint around like Jackson Pollack never did. Think of it: I'm finger painting, but I can drive; I squish clay through my fingers, but my mom doesn't tell me to clean up after myself (okay, I clean up for myself.) I get to color with pretty little pencils, and I can go outside the lines if I want, or not even use lines. The boss never tells me to punch in, and I can take as many breaks as I want. If I spill coffee on my work, I can tell everybody I did it on purpose, and nobody can argue with me about it. I can wear jeans to work, and I can wipe ickky stuff all over them. It's C-O-O-L with a K! Ya' know what I mean?
