avg free is the best. not just anti virus but anti malware also.
if you dont believe check out with the user manual located at the site given below. the site to dowload from is also given.
the test oddball is talking about is quite old and fake. kaspersky could detect 99.62% percent because the virus samples included in the test were taken from kaspersky and other antvirus which were in the top ten.

I prefer Kapersky. Its much less intrusive than Mcafee or Norton and I think it protects better.
