Well let's look at it this way... America is the most capitalistic of all the courtries in the world.
It also has the most freedom. The people of this country give more to charity than any other. The also have more humanitarian organizations and give more in foreign aid than any other.
China is one of the most oppressive and regulatory governments in the world. They have communism, not capitalism. We could stop all imports from China, and boycott all the sweat shops, but it's government would still prevent it's people from being prosperous. The Chinese work the sweat shops because their goverment makes it nearly impossible for anyone there to start their own business and to succeed. Freedom and capitalism are two sides on the same coin.

The US has always been a Capitalist Nation. Capitalism is what made our economy so strong. It is regulation that is killing our country. We regulate everything so much that we have driven manufacturing right out of the country.
I find it kind of funny that you mention Exxon, who is controlled by Venezuela. Oops...

Capitalism has made products made in America very expensive prompting manufacturers to build their factories in China for cheap labor. Thus, China is now booming as a economy with the US as one of its debtor country.

Capitalism is economically killing Americans. Americans have a high rate of personal debt. This is made worse by the capitalist law of supply and demand. The same products are sold for different prices in different countries, depending on the country's wealth, and on its consumer demand for the variously priced products. Americans tend to tolerate higher prices than third world persons. Because Americans think that they can afford the products, without considering that they are paying more than others for the same products, they continue to demand the comparatively more expensive products. This contributes to the luxury driven American culture which sets high material standards for personal success that are difficult to obtain. Therefore, the more affluent the country, the more its consumers pay for the same products, the more luxuries their culture demands from them to prove their success, and the more personal debt they accumulate as they try to look successful. It is a bad economic situation that Americans can easily fall into and with severe difficulty get out of.

america is capitalism. it is freedom to the max! china just proved that america or democracy isn't for everyone. and you know, i believe that china is right. look at those countries colonized/ occupied by the usa, how are their economies? look at the philippines? their economy is one of the poorest - reason why all filipinos are going abroad for work. and who's fault is that? of course - the usa, because they shoved democracy into the filipinos, letting them believed that it is their savior.
so do not whine about costs and how bad your day is. instead celebrate democracy because that is what uncle sam wants you to do.

Capitalism isn't the problem
Lousy ethics are the problem.
It originates with people, not with the economic system.
